Inmate Visitation Overview

The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office Justice Center is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. However visiting an inmate is limited to the following times:

Sun – Sat: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


DRESS CODE:

THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED:

HOT PANTS, SHORT SHORTS, SWEAT OUTFITS, MINI-SKIRTS OR DRESSES MORE THAN 1 ½ INCHES ABOVE THE KNEE, BRALESSNESS, LOW-CUT NECKLINES, SEE-THROUGH BLOUSES, TANK TOPS, SPANDEX, SWIMSUITS, CLOTHING HANGING (SAGGING) BELOW THE WAIST, CLOTHING WITH HOLES IN INAPPROPRIATE AREAS, BARE FEET, BEDROOM SLIPPERS, PAJAMAS, OFFENSIVE SLOGANS OR ARTWORK ON SHIRTS, AND ETC.

  • Any destruction or defacing of county property by visitors or inmates is subject to temporary or permanent suspension of visitation privileges.
  • No item of any description will be given to or received directly from an inmate by a visitor. We DO NOT accept any items of any kind for inmates except for work release clothes, prescription eyeglasses, and contact lenses. See our Commissary section for details on providing inmates with items.
  • All visitors and visitor vehicles are subject to a search if warranted.
  • The introduction or attempts to introduce into or upon facility grounds of weapons, drugs, narcotics, alcoholic beverages or any other unauthorized items is a violation of Tennessee Laws and facility policy. Persons found introducing said contraband will be subject to criminal punishment as stated by law.
  • Persons under the influence of alcoholic beverages, narcotics or other drugs, or exhibiting irrational behavior for any reason will not be allowed to visit or remain on county property.
  • Any disturbances or emotional disruptive behavior exhibited at any time will result in your visitation being canceled, and you will not be allowed to remain on county property.
  • There will be no smoking, eating or drinking in the visitation area.
  • No profanity, loud talking, yelling, or profane jesters.
  • Instructions given by staff members will be adhered to. Non-compliance with rules, regulations, and policies will result in the temporary or permanent suspension of visitation privileges.
  • Visitation may be terminated at any time when a rule violation warrants such action.
  • Visitation may be terminated when extenuating circumstances exist within or outside the facility (e.g., lock-down, riots, bomb threats, fires, weather).
