Law Enforcement Search Warrant Results in Heroin Found

On August 16, 2019 the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department, Dunlap Police Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation-Drug Unit conducted a joint search warrant.  Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Snyder Loop in the Lewis Chapel area of Sequatchie County.

During the last few weeks Detectives received information concerning drug activity in the area of Snyder loop. Over the course of the investigation Detectives were able to locate and verify the location and confirmed the sale of Heroin from the residence.  Detective’s obtained a search warrant and executed the search warrant at 2883 Snyder Loop.

Upon entering the residence Officers located two females that were detained. Two small children were in the residence.  Law enforcement contacted The Department of Children Services and requested them on scene.  The children were then placed in their care and taken to a safe location.

Upon searching the property, Law enforcement located and seized Heroin, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.  Law enforcement also seized several hundreds of dollars that was at the residence.

The two females were identified as (30) year old Tabitha Boyle of Sequatchie County and (51) year old Teresa Harvey also of Sequatchie County.  Tabitha Boyle was also identified as the mother of the small children.

Sequatchie County Sheriff Coy M. Swanger stated “His officers have worked very diligently with other departments during this investigation.  He makes it a number one priority to take drugs off the streets and out of homes where children reside making Sequatchie County a safer place for everyone.”
